Never Mind the Blah, Blah, Blah

We all have stories.  Some stories are happy stories.  Some stories are sad stories.  Some stories keep us stuck because we tell them over and over. By having our attention on the same old stories, we cannot move forward. We cannot see a different perspective. We can not see another way to do something or another way to be in the world.

I call our stories the "Blah, blah, blah."  And I highly recommend that you never mind the blah, blah, blah.  Don't mind the blah, blah, blah of your own life and definitely don't mind the blah, blah, blah of someone else's life or of someone trying to tell you what your blah, blah, blah is.

We tell stories to avoid having to accept the reality that we created the world we live in. We tell stories to put the blame somewhere else. We tell stories so that we can stay right (and then someone else becomes "wrong.") We tell stories because we may be living in the great question mark of life--how do I?  So many things we think we want, think we need, think we prefer have this big curious "How" attached to it.

When we get into the blah, blah, blah, life does not move freely. We feel mired in. We get the same (or worse) results that we got the day before, and before and before.  The blah, blah, blah is not creative. It is just like muscle memory.  Our brains, synapses, have learned a certain path of thinking and until we stop putting our attention on that blah, blah, blah, it will continue to follow the same path of thinking.

So, my advice? STOP IT.  If you absolutely MUST tell a story, then tell a good story.  Tell a happy story. Tell a new story. Tell a story that brings you joy that you can feel tingling through your entire being.

Do not put your mind on the blah, blah, blah.  It is nothing anyway.
