Divine Presence Is Everywhere

 

Ernest Holmes, the founder of the Science of Mind new thought movement was a prolific writer. I read his work almost every single day as he inspires me. (I know it might be a little irreverent of me to call him Uncle Ernie but I do feel that he is sort of a kindly, loving uncle to me so I do not intend or mean any offense to anyone by calling him that, rather I say it in a loving way.)

Here is the gem I mined out of "Creative Ideas" a book of daily inspirational writings. (If you have a problem with the word God, by all means substitute it with something more palatable for you--Universe, Creator, Spirit, Divine Spark, etc.--it’s All One and the name is less important than the knowing.) From page 114 I accept the Action of God ...our sufficiency is of God. II Corinthians 3:5

"We should daily affirm that the divine presence is everywhere, that it is always active in, around, and through us. The infinite power is always active, always dynamic and creative. It is never passive, but is moving in and through everything we do. Just as the one life harmoniously acts in every cell, every organ, and every function of our bodies, so the one Mind moves in and through our every experience. There is one Mind that governs everything, and I now affirm and accept that this same intelligence now governs my affairs. It is within me and around me at all times, directing, guiding, governing, controlling, and leading me happily to the fulfillment of all good purposes. It knows what to do, when to do it, and how to do it and I am impelled to act accordingly. I also salute the God-presence in everyone I meet, and I know that as surely as I do this, the love indwelling them responds to the same presence within me. We act in the unison of peace and understanding. Recognizing that all of life is the handiwork of God, I accept Its love and harmony as now manifesting in every aspect of my experience."

I know that I have things to do today and that whatever comes before me is what I am to do. I know that I am guided and I do what is mine to do--I don't worry about how things are going to happen because that is not my responsibility. I just take care of the things put before me to handle, knowing that what I get done is the right amount and the right thing for me to do today! And so it is for me. And so I know it is for you too.

Let Your Mind Be Free

 

It doesn't matter what you wear, eat, how you talk.

It doesn't matter what religious beliefs you carry.

It doesn't matter how intelligent you are.

We are Free. Trust that this is the Truth.  

There is freedom at a soul level that no one can cage or take away.  

It is entirely private.  It is entirely yours.  Savor it.

Master Your Mind

Just finished an 8 week Mastermind group with a small group of students. 

If you are not familiar with Masterminding, it is something that Napoleon Hill in his book, "Think and Grow Rich," first suggested.  Well, okay, he may have named it that but groups of people have been masterminding forever. 

What is it?  

"To Mastermind is to bring together different perspectives, skills sets and viewpoints to assist each member to clarify, receive support, brainstorm and goal set toward individual achievements and/or life changes in a safe, confidential arena, where each person contributes to their own success and assists in the success of others by forming peer accountability. It is the focusing of attention to the areas of life one desires to experience." (Definition from Bohemian Art Cafe)

Masterminding is not about whining, gossiping, getting therapy or making excuses.  It is formulaic in the sense that each person follows a similar formula for the goals (whatever those might be--health, wealth, self-fulfillment, spiritual, emotional...) that the individual wishes to manifest.  A set of examples from the Fall Mastermind Group are powerful manifestations.

We support each other's goals and help (when asked) find solutions
to seemingly impossible or unknown situations.

Without revealing personal information, and yes, I have permission to share so long as I don't give out personal details, here are just some of the results that 8 people achieved in the Fall Mastermind group:

• Get a bonus of $1500 or more--even though company policy dictates it couldn't happen
• Sell a car--despite many miles and age of car and at a price higher than anyone expected to receive for it
• Buy a new car--with proceeds of sold car
• Start a new business--actually finish researching and write business plan
• Get artwork shown in two new venues/galleries/shops--contact shop owners and sign contracts
• Sell at least $100 in artwork per week--in existing shops
• Finish writing the outline for a book--that has been sitting in a drawer for several decades
• Finish writing the first chapter of a book--that has been sitting in a drawer for several decades
• Buy a camera and sign up for a photography class--bought it and got signed up
• Complete and pay old taxes--Took everything to someone to do it but it's done.
• Find homes for two horses--Moving the horses to their new home this week
• Put a home on the market--Signed with an agent, listed the house
• Contact a sibling after more than 10 years--working to mend relationship
• Listen to and follow "Get Rid of 50 Things"--Got rid of over 100 different items that were cluttering up a space

And that isn't even the full list.  There are emotional and spiritual healings. There are improvements in relationships. There are amazing manifestations "big and little" (a judgment that we humans seem to need to place on miracles) that have happened that were only spoken about briefly in the Mastermind group.  Movement happens and areas go from "stagnation" to "chugging along" to "full steam ahead" because of the focused attention the Masterminding brings.

The Mastermind group is a small group of no more than 8 people.  There are daily unexpected and expected fabulous outcomes, as well as seeing the camaraderie and support as the group gells and long term friendships develop.

I Am That I Am

 

I Am That I Am! 

I intuitively knew from the time I was about 8 years old that “I Am That I Am” is a Powerful statement. I was in catechism class and it was on the front of my book as a quote. When we finished the class, I cut the quote off the front of the class workbook and I have it on my bulletin board next to my desk to this day. It is a quote from 1 Corinthians, Verse 15:10 which more precisely states, "By God's favor I Am That I Am."  Somehow even at the age of 8 I knew that this meant that whatever I was, no matter what anyone else thought, I knew I was okay and I was loved just as I was, completely unconditionally. I knew that I was who and how I was by divine guidance and plan.

As a licensed non-denominational minister whatever your belief about a higher power, my services are available for prayer support, spiritual counseling, weddings, hand fasts, baby blessings, home or work blessings, funerals or memorial services. I also offer oracle readings by appointment on a limited basis. All religious beliefs are valid so whatever you believe I support.

In my belief system, like in C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia, Source has many names and faces but in the end, all are of the One.
